I am not writing this blog to give details of Katie's passing, but rather give others the ability to understand how my mind and body are coping with this extraordinary event. It is an attempt to ease the mind of others about how I am handling this situation while also giving me the opportunity to collect my thoughts. Please remember that this is a work in progress. My thoughts are erratic and, at the moment, the most important thing is to have them saved somewhere besides my head.

A very special event.

I  just had a memory, then corresponding happiness, of different  times when Katie had the most joy from a seemingly very random/mundane  situation. I can picture her smile light up, then the hug or  conversation that followed. 

I  have not had a moment like this since Katie's passing. It seemed very  real. It gave me chill-bumps. I am counting on this happening again (April 19, 2011; 11:10am)

I'm happy for you Robert. Those feelings are AWESOME. I love that Katie can still make me laugh out loud and smile.

So nice...she really did find joy in the most unexpected things, didn't she. I agree with Erin in that I am so happy that Katie continues to bring us happiness.
